I've been working with a group that is a bit of a distance for me to drive to and we are using a screen recording web site for what I call "Rapid Proofing". The web site is screenr.com and its free.
So i basically get a RAM preview all rendered out. Then i launch the site and start a recording. I like using this for proofing because its fast, free and my clients/team can see the videos online and on the iPhone.
Real Scenario 01:
I had sent a proof out to a client who was in a meeting. He and is boss watched it in the meeting on his iPhone and was able to email me back with adjustments, and kudos from the people in the meeting. They had passed the video around the room so everyone could check it out.
Real Scenario 02:
I was working with a director on color grading his commercial and he wanted to see some sample, so sitting on the phone with him i was able to make changes and send him a screen recording sample during the phone call. It made for quick adjustments and we got the project done pretty quickly.
So check it out at
