10 Tips on applying to a mograph job - Repost from Mograph

Posted on March 13, 2010 at 10:45pm 5 Comments

This is a repost from a thread over at mograph.net. Some good stuff listed here, so I thought I'd share:

1- the link to your reel / portfolio should be one of the first things

that is seen on your cover letter.

2- make sure your link works.

3- in your cover letter, be brief, be to the point, and for the love of all things holy do not gush about what… Continue

Forum Thoughts?

Posted on January 21, 2010 at 1:05pm 7 Comments

I didn't want to turn TME into yet one more forum for the motion community... But, I am curious as to how others feel about this. I was thinking some things such as: Market Place, Looking for freelance/available for freelance, mayyyyybe some tech support forums.

What do you think?

Thanks Harry that means a lot to me coming from a great such as yourself, when I moved to Detroit back in '08 I was hoping to meet you but you were on your way to Cali. On the lights I used one of Andrew Kramer's projects on lights,http://www.videocopilot.net/blog/2010/12/light-particles-project/I didn't use the camera in the project I just used the one that was imported from C4D with my animation, then composited the two together til I got something that felt right.

Hey Harry. I think you are going to love that game. What is interesting is is was not on entertainment weeklys list of 10 best games of 2009. Instead Uncharted 2 won that #1 honor.

However, chances are it will show up on some list as a most underrated game of 2009. IGN gave it a 9.5. So much fun. Oh and by the way. I think I saw Ozzy Osbourne this morning.

Rock on brother!

P.S. dont you think it is ODD that red giant is releasing knoll 3D flare beta all of a sudden? I guess the great thing about competition (optical flares) is that it makes the product providers make a better product. That said. It is too bad Adobe laid off a bunch of people. I hope to hear better news from them next month.
