I've had no issues with Windows 7 64bit cs4 actually is really stable and fast
XP64 and Vista64 have big issues though you gotta get 7

720x576 is correct measurements for DV-PAL settings.
yes you can render keyable elements in tga sequence, but to get better quality i would suggest you to render them in quick time with alpha.

It's not a PAL problem - it's the DV codec you're using that can't carry an alpha channel. If I have elements to send out then I use uncompressed AVI (if you're on a mac then Quicktime animation/no compression…

Thank you Oliver. In After Effects I chose DV-PAL which gives me the 720X576 and 4:3 settings, however if I need an alpha channel it only allows me to render the alpha channel separately, I can't embed it with the fill. Is this a common PAL…

I hope someone can help me with my After Effects settings. I am U.S.A.
based and I am creating some elements for a West African network. I'm
used to NTSC settings and not PAL. My comps are 729 X 576 at 25 fps. I
chose a DV-PAL setting for my render, interlaced 4:3, 25 fps. Are these
the correct settings?
Also if I have keyable elements do I need to render separate fills and
alphas? What if I just do .tga sequences?

Health Care coverage for Freelancers

Since I sometimes double as a political activist, I was wondering if any of you U.S. based artists have trouble getting affordable health insurance for yourselves and/or your families? If you are a freelancer and have health coverage, who do you use?
I personally support a family of four and my HC premiums are ridiculous and my insurance covers very little after deductibles, etc.
