I was wondering, how much money you guys take from clients to make a motion, you now, like for example 150 to 500 dolars?

Or for instance is it better to take de money daily or weakly?

150 dolars a day is alright?

Or a final price to the final motion?

It all depends on the nature of the job, how good you are and your location.

The best way I've heard is to work out how much money you need to live on comfortably a year, double it then:

amount (say £30,000)*2 (in order to account for overheads etc)
/48 to get your week rate (52 weeks per year - 4 weeks holiday)
/5 to get a day rate

in the case of our example that gives you £250 per day, not too inaccurate really for a middeweight freelancer. There will be many more things to take into account which you may like to add on top like milage or wear and tear on equipment but as a rough guide that should give you something to use.

I'm sure there are plenty more experienced guys on here who can set you straight!
